Next week at Cherry Bar

Mon June 4: Open Mike Mondays. Cherry supplies the Back Line, the Mixer and our famous stage. You and your band plug in and play. 6.30pm to 11.30pm every Monday. Free entry. Cherry Owner James Young MC's a spirited chat with Kate Shaw from Melb Uni, Helen Marcou from SLAM and Councillor Ken Ong Chairman of Future Melbourne Planning Committee about the biggest issues facing live music in Melbourne, principally planning and new residential developments, etc.

It's a one hour Q&A with the audience, that is sure to be enlightening.

Afterwards 'Persecution Blues - the Battle for the Tote' will screen from 8.30pm.

The Cherry Bar in AC/DC Lane Melbourne celebrates the exact 40th anniversary of the release of The Rolling Stones classic LP 'Exile On Main Street' with a Tribute weekend on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May, featuring a one-off get-together of some of Melbourne's most revered local musicians performing 'Exile' track-for-track on two intimate nights.
 
The Cherry Exile band will feature Jack Howard, Ben Marsland, Carl Treasure, Bruce Haymes, Ryan Brown, Ben Curnow and Simon Aarons with vocalists The Wolfgramm Sisters, Ash Naylor, Spencer P Jones, Dave Larkin, Matt Sonic, Nick Barker and Special Guests.
